Pokello broke up with Ghanaian husband Elikem Kumordzie last year. Elikem, has described his marriage to the Zimbabwean as a mistake.

The queen of swagger has been hanging out with South Africa-based Zimbabwean Muzambe, who uses the handle “rondontharon” on Instagram.

The pair has even holidayed in the Maldives together, according to pictures posted on their social media pages.

They have also been seen together at various spots.

Muzambe is 31, and is younger than Pokello, 32.

She has posted several pictures of the two hanging out saying she is on a living spree.

In one of the posts, she is walking up the stairs of a hotel. Muzambe also posted a picture doing the same walk. Pokello captioned the picture “on a living spree” and seemed happy.

There was another video of her being driven by Muzambe and she was all smiles.

In another picture posted by Muzambe, the two are sitting cosily on the beach while on vacation.

Pokello and Elikem married in 2015, two years after meeting in the Big Brother Africa competition.

The rumour of Pokello and her hubby’s split started in November after he got several birthday messages from fans and friends on social media except from Pokello, which was strange as it seemed to have been a yearly ritual.

The two have a baby boy together called Tristan, Pokello’s second child.

Elikem used to visit Zimbabwe a lot but has since stopped.

To seal their break-up, Elikem has posted a short video of an engagement ring with a big rock with the caption: “I’m definitely not making a mistake on the next one.

“She asked me why they didn’t have shoes and I told her it was because they didn’t have money to buy them,” said her nan Avonne.

“Miyla immediately said: ‘Well, I want to give them some shoes’. I knew then there was no stopping her !”

Avonne and Miyla first put out an appeal for people to donate unwanted shoes.

They then found a local contact called Simba to transport the shoes during his regular visits to Africa.

PROMINENT musician Andrew Ngwenya, better known as Andy Muridzo, has been has been convicted over a hit-and-run accident which left three vehicles damaged.

The singer appeared Friday before Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko charged with contravening the Road Traffic Act.

READ ALSO:

Ngwenya was convicted at own guilty plea after admitting that he was driving without a licence but denied reckless driving.

The 37-year-old was remanded out of custody pending sentencing this Monday.

According to court papers, the allegations against Ngwenya arose on February 25 this year when he was involved in a road crash along Harare’s Sam Mujoma Street, due south.

Court heard that the incident occurred around 1800 hours and that the complainants were one Innocent Chadyiwa, 60, Muhonde Nyaradzo Debra, 38, and one Kenneth Dzviti, 31, whose vehicle was behind Muhonde.

Prosecutor Isheunesu Mhiti said Ngwenya was occupying a lane for cars turning right only but proceeded straight ahead and against a red traffic light.

The singer then collided with Chadyiwa resulting in his car veering to the right and hitting Muhonde’s car which had stopped for the red traffic light.

The force of the crash forced Muhonde’s car to move backwards and ram into Dzviti’s vehicle which was directly behind.

Court heard that Ngwenya then sped off against the flow of traffic along Sam Nujoma and failed to report the accident to the police within 24 hours as required by the law.

Damages sustained by the vehicles varied from minor to extensive, but no one was injured.

Further investigations established that Ngwenya was not a holder of a valid licence in respect of the class of vehicle he was driving.

According to the State, singer was negligent by proceeding against a red traffic light, speeding, failing to keep a proper look out or act reasonably when a collision seemed imminent and driving on the wrong side of the road.-Newzim

Zimbabwe Ranked Poorly in 2018 Happiness Index, Worse Than Iraq

Zimbabwe ranked poorly in this 2018 happiness index, which averaged rankings of happiness over the years 2014 to 2016.

The country was ranked number 144 out of 155 in the world, with a score of 3,875 points and was beaten by countries such as Iraq. The Southern African nation ranked 138 in 2017.

In Africa, Zimbabwe was ranked number 31 out of 44, and was beaten by Zambia (116), Mozambique (113), Sudan (130) and Malawi (136).

To explain happiness differences among countries, the index mainly looks at key variables such as GDP per capita, healthy years of life expectancy, social support, trust (as measured by a perceived absence of corruption in government and business), perceived freedom to make life decisions; and generosity (as measured by recent donations).

  • Chinotimba says give people bond coins if they do not like bond notes

The report used the example of Zimbabwe to prove that changes in lived poverty and happiness over time are associated.

“Zimbabwe, formerly a breadbasket in southern Africa and now often regarded as a failed state, where unemployment and poverty are endemic and political strife and repression are commonplace, has experienced some poverty relief in daily life over the past decade”, said the report.

“The drop in Zimbabwe’s lived poverty score of 0.61 points is matched by a corresponding increase of 0.64 points in its happiness score”, said the report. Last year, Zimbabwe was hit by an El Nino induced drought which left millions of people hungry.

The report also opined that people living in Africa have, over time, developed the optimism that many things will change for the better, to make daily hassles and hardships tolerable.

“A series of studies of democracy and happiness in the authoritarian states of Chad and Zimbabwe suggest that even when the demand for democracy in Africa is not matched by satisfaction with living conditions, discontent is tempered by optimism for the future”, the report says.

It was particularly referring to a 2005 study conducted in Zimbabwe, which classified 45 percent of respondents as very democratic and a further 36 percent as democratic. “Only 11 percent of Zimbabweans were satisfied with life at present, but twice as many (22 percent) thought they would feel satisfied with life in ten years’ time”, said the report.

Channel24 caught up with Donel ahead of the Knockout Rounds to talk about his passion for music, his journey on the show and his grandmother and her spotlight stealing dance.

Tytan pays lobola for Olinda, but was it his money?

Rapper Tytan who is in love with United Kingdom-based businesswoman, Olinda Chapel, over the weekend shared a video of him paying bride price (lobola) for his fiancée setting the ball rolling for the couple to tie the knot soon.

The Bho singer shared a video of the ceremony on his Facebook page as he said, “Olinda is now married”. Relatives are shown in the video singing and ululating during the traditional ceremony.

The shared video, however, raised eyebrows when wards of British pounds were spotted in a tray and handed over to another woman for safekeeping.

Some followers allege that Olinda paid her own lobola through Tytan who was spotted in Bulawayo over the weekend.

When Olinda got married to Stunner almost two years go, similar allegations came up.

Other people, however, defended Tytan saying he was spending a lot of time in the United Kingdom and he could have raised the money through shows that he performed last year.

Messages accompanying Olinda’s Instagram pictures suggest that the wedding will be held early next month.

Following the traditional lobola ceremony, the two held a lavish lobola/roora after party where Olinda shared pictures with Tytan’s aunts who she believes have given her thumbs up.

This will be Olinda’s third marriage on the trot and she says she has learnt from her past experiences like a student who has been corrected from their mistakes.

“Kana dofo rino passer nema corrections, nokuti rinenge raudzwa ma answer na teacher #mrsnkomo <https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mrsnkomo/> (even a dull person can pass corrections because they would’ve been told the answers by the teacher),” posted Olinda.

Two months ago Tytan shared a picture of him apparently in talks with wedding planners Craig Zoowie and Lungile Dlodlo from VIP Hosting captioned “done deal”.

Dlodlo is the founder of VIP Hosting, a prominent wedding planning and events management company in Harare.

At the same time, on Olinda’s timeline, she shared a picture of Tytan, Zoowie, Dlodlo and another wedding planner Tendai Zhou and questioned: “What are they possibly discussing?”

Also, a perusal on Instagram revealed a page named #BeingMrsNkomo, which features some pictures of Olinda as she tries to chronicle her journey to the day she walks down the aisle to be Tytan’s wife.

Olinda burst onto the local showbiz scene through an emotional Facebook Live video shoot in which she narrated how she was heartbroken by her husband’s infidelity.-Chronicle

Zimbabwean Bride Flee From Court As Wife Finds Hubby Wedding

A leopard never changes its spots so goes the African saying.
John Chirongoma who left Masvingo Magistrates Court with tail under his legs after a man caught him wedding his wife last year was at it again on Friday when he returned and this time successfully wedded the same woman Crescencia Mudzviti.
However, just like last year the event did not go without incident. Chirongoma’s wife was the one to spoil the party. She arrived a moment late as she found the vows, signatures and union already sealed.
This did not however stop the unexpected mid-morning drama as the sheer arrival of Chirongoma’s wife only identified as Mai Mary sent the blissful couple that was pausing for the flash outside the court buildings in sixes and sevens.
Chirongoma who stays in Nyadzonya Street in Aphiri, Mucheke was the first to spot his fuming wife disembarking from a taxi and all hell broke loose. He dropped his newly wedded wife’s hand and headed for the court gate with a fast step at first but with adrenalin running loose in his blood the pace quickened and no sooner was he going for Usain Bolt’s 100 metre World record.
Who knows!
He passed the gate turned right and sprinted along Jason Moyo Road in the direction of Masvingo General Hospital Road with his wife Mai Mary in hot pursuit. She was naturally no match for the hubby who outpaced her as if she was not in motion.
Picking one or two stones and throwing them in a bid to cover the lost ground did not help as the Chiringoma was soon out of sight of the jeering crowd.
Mudzviti was more tactiful, she sneaked into a relative’s car and was off.
The two tried to wed last year but the wedding at the same court was disrupted by Mashomare Muzenda who said that he was Mudzviti’s hubby. Chiringoma once again  ran for dear life.

Zimbabwean writer Charles Mungoshi’s daughter regrets having a relationship with a United Kingdom based man after he posted her nude photographs and videos on social media.

The 22-year-old Lorraine Mungoshi told H-Metro that her jilted lover Mike Mapiye, 37, posted her nude photographs and videos after she had broken up with him.

“Mike is my ex-boyfriend and he abused me and is now tarnishing my image by posting my nude photographs and videos on social media,” said Lorraine.

Mike Mapiye

“I am not the only girl he abused; he does that to many girls and I want to believe he is a psycho. He abuses and manipulates women,” she said.

In the videos circulating on social media, Lorraine was recorded relieving herself in a toilet complaining of diarrhoea, another taking a bath, having sex and touching her private parts.

Contacted for comment, Mike, through his unidentified friend confirmed posting the videos and photographs on social media over Lorraine’s actions refusing to elaborate.

“Lorraine was cheating so private investigators caught up with her and Mike decided to expose her on social media,” said the friend on WhatsApp.-H-metro

Olinda is mine… I sweated to raise lobola: Tytan

By Trust Khosa

Youthful musician Tytan, who recently paid bride price for UK based fiancée Olinda Chapel, reckons he hit the jackpot by landing the socialite and he raised the lobola money himself.

Olinda and Tytan
Olinda and Tytan

The Mukoko hit-maker, whose traditional wedding with Stunner’s ex-wife has been trending on social media, says ‘haters’ give him strength to meet his goals and he does not mind negative comments over his marriage and or wife.

Last night, Tytan opened up to H-Metro after social media users questioned his ability to raise lobola money.

Some claimed Olinda might have paid for her own lobola to ‘fast’ track their union while others simply doubted Tytan’s coffers to meet his fiancée’s demands.Friends in her circles felt the young rapper was also being used by his fiancée to get attention, but he dismissed all these claims.

LOBOLA MONEY
Tytan laughed off at the claims that he was bailed by Olinda saying he really ‘sweated’ to raise the lobola money.

“Those who know me will always tell you than I am a hard worker doing a lot of things in life.

“By the way, I am a creative designer and brand manager doing consultancy work both at home and the UK.

“I have been holding a number of gigs in the UK realising at least 1000 pounds per week and I was saving money for the ceremony because I knew the day (to pay lobola) was coming.

“I don’t care what people will say because munhu ndewangu, ende hazvichinji,” says the affable rapper.

FAMILY SUPPORT
Despite all the backlash Tytan has been receiving, he says his family has always been supportive to him.

“My family has blessed this union and my family has always been supportive each time I want to do something in life.

“I paid lobola in the UK where my aunt form Bulawayo was present.

“Formalising the union is the best thing we have always wished even though it appeared as if we had known each other for a while.

“We have always wished for the day to come and we are happy that all is well.”

PRIVACY
While Olinda and Tytan’s lifestyle is no longer a secret on social media, the rapper says they also still deserve their privacy.

As such, Tytan could not be drawn into revealing the amount he paid for bride price unlike other socialites like Wicknell Chivayo who have gone public about the lobola money they splashed to in-laws.

“I can’t do (reveal lobola money) that for the good of my family.

“As a family, we deserve our privacy, I can’t tell you the figure because it’s too personal,” says the young entrepreneur.

DISTANCE
Despite their busy schedules as the couple has business interests both locally and in the UK, the singer says they will create time for each other.

“It’s no secret we both have busy schedules but we will create time for each for each other.

“Another way to ensure that we are always in touch are the collaborations we are going to do.

“For instance, we are collaborating on the High Teas to be held on the 13th of May in Harare.

“We are always doing some work together since she came into my life.

“Olinda is currently in Zimbabwe working on the project and we will be together after work.”

DISS
While fellow artistes have been ‘dissing’ him for his decision to marry Olinda through song, Tytan says he won’t hit back.

“I don’t mind those who are dissing me because it won’t help them.

“If it is benefiting them, I can’t stop them because haters will only give me strength to achieve my goals.

“I also think people are judging us according to their taste.

“Like I said earlier on, it won’t change anything at all,” says the singer.

ATTENTION SEEKING STUNTS
Tytan believes there is nothing wrong with them spending much of their time on social media as they are public figures.

“Most of the time that we go live on social media, we will be pushing our projects.

“We have a number of pages we run which requires us to be active on social media.

“I won’t stop pushing our works no matter what people will say.”

Tytan and Olinda’s affair has always hogged the limelight with social media users divided each time they go public.

Others have labelled them an attention seeking couple but the pair insists they always laugh when they are hit hard on social media.  H-Metro

Collin Miller, 21, had inexplicably decided to break into crocodile cage diving attraction at Victoria Falls along the Zimbabwe-South Africa border, whilst out drinking.

Incredibly, he escaped with his life after the three crocodiles released him to fight over his torn off arm allowing a worker and another man to drag the tourist to safety.

The Zimbabwe Chronicle reported that the drama happened when the group reached a brewery situated right next to a crocodile cage diving company for tourists.

A drunken tourist who jumped into a crocodile pool after downing drinks with his pals had an arm ripped off and his head torn from side to side in another crocodile’s jaws

Eyewitnesses said Mr Miller, reputedly the worse for wear, inexplicably went into the brewery kitchen and jumped out a window and into the crocodile farm next door.

Even though in a clearly marked and restricted area, he then climbed over a fence and jumped into the pool of an attraction that allows tourists to dive with Nile crocodiles.

Three crocodiles were said to have been basking in the pool at the time when the wedding guest is said to have taken off his shirt and jumped in with the scaly beasts.

Terrified onlookers said the crocodiles went into a feeding frenzy with one reptile ripping off Collin’s arm and another clamping its jaws around his head and shaking.

Fortunately for him the crocodile that had his head was said to have let go and chased after the crocodile with Collin’s arm allowing two brave rescuers to grab him.

They pulled the blood soaked man from the water and over the fence to safety while the three crocodiles said to be up to three metres long fought over his missing arm.

Collin Miller, 21, had inexplicably decided to break into crocodile cage diving attraction (above) at Victoria Falls along the Zimbabwe-South Africa border, whilst out drinking

Miller, of Lusaka, Zambia, had gone to Victoria Falls a few days before a friends’ wedding and had gone out drinking locally, according to local reports.

A witness said: ‘Mr Miller lost his left arm and sustained fractured ribs and injuries to his head and was stabilised and immediately airlifted to South Africa’.

He said to be stable in an unnamed private health facility over the border and the wedding went ahead without him two days later as planned at Victoria Falls.

Mr Miller’s bizarre decision to swim with the maneaters happened at 9pm last Thursday after his group entered the Victoria Falls River Brewing Company for a drink.

The company’s director Mr Mike Danes declined to talk about the incident but referred the press to a statement which chronicled how the incident happened.

However the company stressed although Mr Miller exited their property via a kitchen window, they do not keep crocodiles, and the croc pool was next door.

It read: ‘On Thursday evening a member of the public deliberately climbed over a protective fence and entered the crocodile pool which houses three crocodiles.

‘He deliberately put his life in extreme danger and was rescued by incredible efforts of two very brave men including an employee of the Crocodile Cage Diving Company.

‘He sustained several injuries including loss of arm.

‘The River Brewing Company wishes him a very speedy recovery and we are grateful to the quick thinking and bravery of his rescuers in saving him’.

The Victoria Falls River Brewing Company manufactures many different kinds of beer and also operates a restaurant on the same premises at Busy Island

Mr Miller, of Lusaka, Zambia, had been booked in to stay a local lodge ahead of the wedding ceremony and is said to have gone on a drinking spree with friends.

He allegedly entered the restaurant kitchen without the knowledge of staff and climbed through a window and over a fence leading to the crocodile pool next door.

An eye witness said:’We were shocked when he just stormed into the kitchen despite a sign prohibiting members of the public and exited the window.

‘He jumped into the pool and the crocodiles immediately pounced on him. ‘He is lucky because alert guests quickly followed and rescued him but one of the crocs had already cut off his arm.

‘The other crocodile nearly crushed his head but it turned away to chase after the one with the arm and that’s how he was rescued’. Miller was rushed to Chinotimba Medical Centre before being airlifted to South Africa for further treatment.

Hwange District Medical Officer Dr Wisdom Kurauone confirmed the incident. Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) public relations manager described the incident as ‘unfortunate’.

They said: ‘We urge all foreign tourists to avoid taking unnecessary risks when dealing with animals.’

Radio personality Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa

This comes after Musarara sued and threatened to have Ruvheneko arrested for contempt of court charges after she failed to apologise him. Ruvheneko was supposed to apologise to Musarara, the chairperson of the Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe, as a condition for settling a previous High Court lawsuit. Said Ruvheneko on Twitter,

In reference to a News Day Zimbabwe article of 29.03.18 titled “Ruvheneko Faces Arrest”: Despite not having seen the court application up to this day, I have become aware that I am being sued for Contempt of Court. For progress’ sake, I will proceed to publish the apology AGAIN.

On 19 May 2016, I posted a statement on my personal twitter account which read:“Hello @jjwhitlaw please be very clear that I did not invite Tafadzwa Musarara. He was present, but not at my invitation.” @PastorEvanLive

This statement went viral. I made further press statements confirming this position, and several media publications, both print and online, covered the twitter statement. Consequently, it attracted vicious attacks on the person and good standing of Mr Tafadzwa Musarara.

I wish to state that the radio’s management resolved to invite him to the programme. I, therefore, under instruction, extended to him the invitation to attend the programme. I regret posting the twitter statement as it created a false impression that he was uninvited.

As a journalist, I have a duty to protect all my guests, which includes Mr Musarara, regardless of their divergent views. I respect his views and I am without doubt grateful for the contributions he made to the show.

I, therefore, wish to retract that statement and unreservedly apologise to Mr Tafadzwa Musarara, his family and business associates for the unfortunate embarrassment the statement created.

I hope this puts the matter to rest and that we can all move on with our lives. I have nothing against Mr Musarara and I wish him well.

SOUTHAMPTON, UK – The Voice contestant Donel Mangena has been given the royal seal of approval ahead of this weekend’s semi-final.

The 16-year-old, who is odds-on favourite to win the competition, has been invited to perform at the Queen’s 92nd birthday celebrations by Prince Harry.

The invitation was announced by Mangena’s coach on the ITV singing competition, Will.i.am, who also revealed the youngster’s grandmother, Nita, was hoping to travel from Zimbabwe for the live shows after wowing viewers with her dance moves at his first audition.

On the royal invite, Will.i.am said: “I’m like ‘get the hell out of here bro you got a letter from Prince Harry to go and perform at his grandmother’s birthday … who just happens to be the Queen.”

The young singer – who said he wants to be bigger than Michael Jackson – will have some familiar company at the concert with Sir Tom Jones also set to perform.

He called the invitation “pretty cool”, adding: “But it’s all about working hard and concentrating on Saturday.”

Asked what song he would perform for the Queen, Mangena said: “I think I’d have to think about it. It has to be suiting for everyone who’s watching.”

On Nita, he said: “My grandmother is the most important.

“Just being there and telling the right things along the way, doing the right things and to be myself.”

He also revealed girls had started crying in front of him following his new-found fame and said he was inspired by Chris Brown, Michael Jackson and Usher.

“I see myself in Usher. I use Michael Jackson inspirations … I want to achieve as much or even more than him but I use Michael Jackson inspirations which I incorporate into my own style because I don’t want to be someone else.”

He added: “That’s my dream to be global and if I carry on working hard then that could be what can come but for me it’s God first, family first, music first and working to be the best and not changing who I am as a person and hoping the world can love me for who I am.”

Although Mangena remains odds-on favourite at 4/5 to win the competition, Ruti Olajugbagbe has seen her odds cut to 11/4 following strong support, according to bookies Coral.

This was revealed by the author’s mother and author of the late writer, Erica Gwetai, on the 13th anniversary of her death. Vera passed away on 7 April in 2004, thousands of miles away from her mother while she was in Canada. She had earlier been diagnosed with meningitis.

“In her final moments as death approached, she would call me and say that she was scared of dying and leaving behind an unfinished book. She would say ‘mum, I don’t fear death but I fear leaving behind an unfinished book,’” said Gwetai.

Gwetai said as her condition got worse, the author was wracked with worry, as it suddenly dawned on her that death might arrive before she had put to bed what would be her last book.

“The title of the book was Obedience and she was really passionate about it. It was really sad when she couldn’t get a chance to finish it,” she said.

Gwetai also revealed that she had been fiercely resistant to the release of the book in the wake of her daughter’s death.

“I didn’t want it to be released to the public because it was poorly edited. So a few people like her late friend Terence Ranger had the manuscript but only people with academic interests can study and analyse it,” she said.

According to Gwetai, the book would never see the light of day because it was largely incomplete.

“I will never allow it to be published. It was unfinished and because she was such a perfectionist it would have been a disservice to let anyone else finish it. No one would have finished it like she would have and I feel that if anyone else touches it, that might taint her legacy,” she said.-Sundaynews

Vivacious radio personality and actress Tinopona ‘‘Tin Tin’’ Katsande has forgiven all those who got on her wrong side during a tough period in her life, including the boyfriend who leaked the sex tape which unleashed a storm of events that left her down and out.

After almost six years in the wilderness, Tin Tin’s voice is again gracing the airwaves, with her past sins seemingly forgiven at ZiFM, the station where she initially made her name as a radio presenter.

Tin Tin had a spectacular fall from grace in 2012, after her then boyfriend, Brian Munjodzi, allegedly leaked a tape documenting their intimate bedroom moments in a nasty case of revenge porn.

The storm that ensued rocked the foundations of Tin Tin’s life, as a public that had previously adored her suddenly lost its love for the former model.

Her employer, ZiFM, gave in to the outrage that followed the scandal, shutting down a bright star that had become one of the most loved voices on Zimbabwean radio.

As is usually the case, her boyfriend emerged unscathed from the fiasco, while Tin Tin was left to pick up the pieces of her shattered life and image.

Nursing her battered image, the six years that followed that sorry episode have been filled with reflection, renewed hope and most importantly forgiveness.

“I forgave everyone, including myself very early on in the whole ordeal,” Tin Tin revealed to Sunday Life when asked whether she had forgiven the man who had undone so much of her hard work and left her life in tatters.

“Prior experience had already taught me that lack of forgiveness is the greatest prison cell. I took accountability of my actions and the consequences, albeit I had no control over the exposure. And also when you don’t forgive you grow old too fast and no one wants that.”

Although she is now upbeat, looking forward to what the future brings, Tin Tin confesses that it was not always the case, as stress and depression became constant visitors to her tormented mind.

“Like any human going through a difficult period in their life, the whole ordeal took its toll on me mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even physically.

I began to get migraines and often I would wake up in painful knots. It was awful. My mind was negatively affected for a short while as I lost all confidence in myself and also I lost trust in people,” she said.

When things were at their worst, even radio stopped bringing comfort to Tin Tin, as she shut her ears to the voices among whom she knew hers also belonged.

“For almost two years I completely cut listening to radio out of my life. Listening to everyone getting on with their lives and growing their broadcasting careers hurt badly and every time someone said anything to do with the Ignition Breakfast Show I was hurt a bit more. It was like putting salt on a raw wound every time someone said or wrote ‘we miss you on radio Tin Tin’,” she said.

Rather than getting broken by his exile from radio, the former Studio 263 actress said that she had instead been hardened by the experience, as she turned to the Almighty in her life’s darkest hour.

“The biggest thing that transpired in my life during this time was my growth in my relationship God and with people. Everything God does in our lives is for our benefit, including suffering.

“Though they never seem pleasant at the time, hard times produce wonderful benefits in our lives. I learnt tolerance and acceptance of situations. I went from hero to zero overnight and the whole experience became a long but much needed natural weed selection process of things and people in my life,” she said.

Her return to radio may not have been dramatic but it was still nerve wrecking for the former model who has always exuded confidence whether on screen or on radio. Like a novice, Tin Tin needed her hand held by her co-host as it dawned on her that the much anticipated comeback would not be as glorious as she might have thought it would.

“I was super excited and super nervous. I didn’t eat the whole day fearing I would throw up from stage fright. There were butterflies in my tummy.

Fortunately I had my old time friend who is also my side kick on the show Ms Jax to keep me grounded. I was so emotional that when all the well wishing messages started flooding in on the ZiFM WhatsApp number, I shed a bucket of tears. I praised God, thanking him for my restoration,” she said.

In fact, Tin Tin confesses that she had received overwhelming support from the station from which she had been so unceremoniously booted out in 2012.

“From day one I felt that everyone at the station then and now was rooting for me. I’m so humbled by the way management and colleagues have embraced my return but even more honoured by the response from listeners. After my first show two months ago I walked out of the studio to find three sets of fans waiting for me to congratulate me on my come back. It was 12:36 am. I cried. I was in awe of their love for me. I’m a great believer in second chances, and more even. I was super nervous and super excited,” she said.

Strengthened by the punishing time spent on the sidelines, Tin Tin is now ready to inject a healthy dose of wisdom and open mindedness into her show, Formation, which airs every Sunday between 9 PM and midnight.

“It’s like late night TV on radio. We talk adult conversations on a no holds barred platform. We talk as human beings doing human things that are then guided by culture and religion. It’s so Tin Tin.

“I say what people are thinking, which is something our Zimbabwean cosmopolitan society is warming up to. We are a polarised and largely hypocritical society when it comes to many social issues in our society but brushing things under the carpet so we look good will not help us become a better people in our families or communities,” she said.-Sundaynews

MARIAH Carey has said she is no longer living in “denial and isolation” after being treated for bipolar disorder.

The singer has told celebrity magazine People that she “didn’t want to believe it” when she was diagnosed in 2001 after receiving hospital treatment for a physical and mental breakdown.

She said: “Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me. It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that anymore.”

The 48-year-old is now in therapy and taking medication for bipolar II, which involves periods of depression and hypomania, and often involves irritability. Carey said the medication is having a positive effect and is not making her feel too tired or sluggish.

“I got back to doing what I love – writing songs and making music,” the mother-of-two said. She said that she first thought she was suffering with “normal insomnia” as she could not sleep and was “working and working and working”.

The star said she was “irritable and in constant fear of letting people down” and that she later learned she was “experiencing a form of mania”. “Eventually I would just hit a wall. I guess my depressive episodes were characterised by having very low energy.

“I would feel so lonely and sad – even guilty that I wasn’t doing what I needed to be doing for my career.”

According to the NHS, bipolar disorder is characterised by extreme mood swings, and includes periods of extreme highs and lows. – news.sky.com

Communications Minister Harrison Mwakwembe said in parliament that the images project acts that go against a law that bans such acts.

Police are also looking for Bongo artist Nandi over similar claims.

An Instagram post of Diamond playfully kissing an unidentified woman has been shared by several news site.

It is unclear if these are the pictures that have got the artist in trouble:

Some people on social media are speculating that the musician was getting back at his former partner who left him.

Last month Tanzania’s authorities banned 13 songs by local artists including Diamond.

It came after President John Magufuli complained about obscenity in music videos.
